RAPF696 8-Foot FME Retrieval Tool with Suction-Cup Gripper and Tether Ring
Retrieve lightweight foreign objects from difficult-to-reach areas with this 8-foot FME retrieval tool. The extended-reach design helps personnel recover accessible items from outside equipment openings, reducing the need to place hands or arms inside controlled systems.
A suction-cup gripping end provides added holding power on compatible smooth surfaces, while the integrated tether ring provides a connection point for a compatible, site-approved retention tether.

Use and Safety Information
Inspect the shaft, handle, gripping mechanism, suction cups and tether ring before every use. Test the gripping action at close range before attempting a retrieval.
Suction performance depends on the object’s size, shape, weight, surface texture and cleanliness. Do not assume the tool will securely hold rough, porous, oily, wet, sharp or irregular objects.
Use slow, controlled movements and maintain visual contact with the object whenever possible. Immediately account for the retrieved item under the facility’s approved FME procedure.
The tether ring may be used only with a compatible tethering system approved by the employer. Do not attach this tool to a personal fall-arrest harness unless specifically authorized by the applicable instructions and site program.
This retrieval tool is not a personnel-support device, fall-protection device, load-rated lifting device or substitute for an engineered retrieval plan. Do not use it around energized, pressurized, rotating or moving equipment unless the system has been placed in an approved safe condition.
